1,200 Census Jobs at Data Operations Centre for Eastern Ontario & Western Quebec Residents Only

As part of the conduct of Canada's Census 2011 in May, Statistics Canada needs 1,200 people to staff Census 2011 Data Operations Centre.
The staff will be working at the Data Operations Centre located at 200 boulevard de la Technologie (located directly off boulevard des Hautes Plaines) Gatineau, Québec.
The census jobs at the Data Operations Centre will be composed of 100 Processing Supervisors & 1100 Processing Clerks. These staff positions are only available for Eastern Ontario & Western Quebec Residents Only.

The official webpage of the census jobs in the Data Operations Centre says that candidates must :
Candidates will be hired under the 2011 Census Exclusion Order and will not be eligible for closed competitions, i.e., competitions open to persons employed in the Public Service, during their period of employment.
- be available from mid-April, 2011 to September 30, 2011. Some positions, depending upon operational requirements, may be extended until October 2011.
- be willing to work on a specific 5 day schedule between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Schedules over the weekend are possible (where applicable, shift premiums will be paid)
- meet the education, experience and language requirements indicated on the Statement of Merit Criteria for the position
- successfully pass an Enhanced Reliability Security Screening
- successfully complete all testing phases, and meet all conditions of employment
be willing and able to work in a high-production, high-volume work environment
