Beginning in Thanksgiving, UPS anticipates an increase in delivery requests of about 60% culiminating on December 22, the busiest day of the year. Thus, a lot of seasonal or temporary workers will be needed for UPS to handle the usual end-of-year upsurge in package pickup and delivery around the world. Here is the complete press release.
The good thing about being hired as a seasonal worker in UPS is that they get to receive competitive starting wage, consistent work schedules and weekends off. These holiday positions are typically for helping package pickup and delivery.
But more importantly, getting hired for a seasonal position gives you a greater chance of getting a full time position in UPS after the busy season.
