The Sisters of Mary School is a non-stock, non-profit, non-paying, live-in secondary institution for the marginalized poor of the country.
The late Rt. Rev. Msgr. Aloysius Schwartz established the Sisters of Mary School in the Philippines after seeing the plight of the depressed, deprived and oppressed sector of the country upon invitation of the late Jaime Cardinal Sin.
Every year, the Sisters of Mary Schools admit around 12, 000 boys and girls providing them, primarily with, free quality secondary education with intensive Vocational-Technical curriculum. The children are provided with food, clothing, board & lodging and other basic needs all year round except for a two-week vacation.
The best teachers are hired, given good salary with many fringe benefits and provided with good working conditions.
High school teachers are one of the most noble professions. Practicing such profession to nurture and shape the young minds of the underprivileged youth takes that nobility to another level.
