September 2010 Bar Examinations Results - 982 New Lawyers in the Country

The September 2010 Bar Exam results were released today by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
Only 982 out of the 4, 847 examinees passed the 2010 Bar examinations. The passing rate of 20.26% is the second lowest passing percentage in the last 10 years of the Philippine Bar Exams.
Cesario Antonio S. Singzon, from the Ateneo de Manila University is the topnotcher of 2010 September Bar Examinations, obtaining a mark of 89.00%.

The Philippine Bar Exam is the professional licensure examinations for Filipinos aspiring to be lawyers. The September 2010 Bar Exams were held last year (September 5, 12, 19, & 26) at the DLSU Taft Campus and was marred by a grenade blast on the last day, injuring some 50 people.
In a related matter, the 2011 Bar examinations will be held in November at the University of Santo Tomas. The 2011 Bar examinations will feature changes.
